Grant Update

The work for the $5,000 grant we reviewed with the community at our 2024 Annual Meeting is complete. The grant was awarded to CMRA for the creation of turn offs and turnarounds on Cherokee Meadows Rd. These new road features will enhance the safety of all who drive CMRA roads, especially our first responders. Attached is the final report we sent to the Larimer County Office of Emergency Management.

Again, we want to thank and acknowledge Dave Herder for spearheading all of the groundwork with Stan Brown, and Jim Herrington for driving the CMRA roads twice in order to choose the best places for this work to be completed. Curt Palin and Dave attended to every detail on the ground for this project, including photography.

We hope when you drive CMRA roads that you see the work that was accomplished. Once reflectors come in, we will be marking every turnout and turnaround with reflectors for everyone to see, and for the snowplow to avoid!

We hope you take some time to review the report and take a look at the work accomplished with the $5,000 grant. Photos and locations of the turnouts and turnarounds are included in the final report, attached.

Stay safe and Happy Holidays!
